Image by nelsondownsIn upcoming weeks, we will announce that we are aggressively recruiting. That in itself is very traditional―many organizations are hiring―but the context in which we are recruiting is somewhat different from what it used to be in the past.
First, we are looking to hire over 20 people in coming months to help organizations adopt innovative methods in an attempt to dramatically increase performance. The roles are varied. We are looking for senior consultants (Agile organizational coachAgile team coach and Scrum Master), software developers and administrative staff (Communication, marketing, and branding manager and Director of the consulting services division). More positions will be added shortly.
If your current job or workplace no longer allows you to grow professionally (let alone personally) or if you are truly looking for a new challenge, you may consider taking a look at over 10 positions currently available. Before deciding if the described jobs suit you, you may want to see if our innovative organization is for you.
It’s more than a job; it’s a mission.
A few months ago, we have redefined our mission statement to reflect what we actually do and what we are passionate about. Our new mission states: “At Pyxis, we produce for our customers unprecedented levels of performance. We create environments that trigger motivation and the development of every human being.” Wouldn’t you like to help people and organizations develop?
We offer an alternative to traditional jobs.
Granted, some of the things we do are traditional but helping managers, project managers, and team members develop their skills and implement environments and methods that tap into their natural motivation is sweet. It’s a little bit like a roller coaster ride―sure it can make you feel queasy sometimes but most of the time, it’s exhilarating. When you see the smile on people’s face, it sure makes you feel like going back for another ride.
Having fun is hard work.
Some organizations believe that a hammock and a fuzzball table turn work into fun. We certainly agree that the 15 minutes spent playing fuzzball or PlayStation is great fun, but we prefer a different kind of fun―the pleasure of accomplishing something meaningful while developing our skills with competent colleagues and getting recognition for our contribution. Doing that 7 hours a day certainly beats a 15-minute ping-pong game.
It’s your career, do what you want.
Who doesn’t have career aspirations? If you are interested in achieving your personal goals and having a plan to do so, we’d be happy to work with you to achieve it. Interested in a specific training? Wish to develop certain skills? We’ll determine with you the best path to achieve your goal and we’ll support you along the way.
Agile isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a philosophy.
Just like you, we hear of organizations that have implemented Agility―the method. We believe “doing Agile” isn’t the same thing as “being Agile”. The latter is more than attending a daily stand-up meeting or calling the boss “Scrum Master”. Being Agile is living the values and principles day-in day-out.

We agree with Dan Pink when he states that Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose are the main motivators in the workplace. Don’t you want to see how Agile could have an impact on your career?
