Last May, Pyxis accompanied Iconoclaste to Nashville in order to attend the Music Business Association’s annual event. During Music Biz 2015, the TGiT software application developed in partnership with Pyxis /studio was presented to participants. TGiT is a software application for declaring new musical work as well as indexing and storing music metadata to benefit all artisans of the music industry (i.e. artists, performers, producers and recording companies). Digital recording must contain metadata in order to be indexed, tracked, and paid for within the context of online use. In fact, new standards are currently being defined to acknowledge the increasing role of metadata in the music industry. Thus, developing a music metadata management software application with the target to face all issues related to copyright royalties was quite a challenge that Pyxis /studio’s developers achieved brilliantly. TGiT is available in both English and French and runs on Macs or PCs. It allows to retrieve and assign ISNI unique identifiers and to include the lyrics, cover, as well as the name of the singers, musicians, composers, etc. Pyxis /studio is specializing in custom software development in various industries such as travel, sales, and music. Therefore, the TGiT project of Iconoclaste immediately attracted interest of /studio’s team of developers. Congratulations to all those involved in this achievement!
