A new concept for the modern IDE, Code Bubbles allows developers to see and work different fragments of code as one unit. Debugging sessions can be associated with those units save and retrieved later for continued work. Quite impressive! It’s really a departure from the IDEs we’ve been using so far. Of course, this is not mainstream yet. Nevertheless, I would like to try something like that and it would probably be interesting to have the equivalent in the .Net space. I have to wonder though, what the impact will be on Object Oriented Programming and encapsulation if developers are lead to think of their code as fragments of functionality scattered in their code base…
